Yamaha Scooter

Purchased for my son's birthday. Looks cool and well built and my son loved it. Upon opening the box the standing plate was scuffed and scratched like it was previously used.

After an overnight battery charge I tried to ride it up my street on a small hill, but it had trouble getting up the hill and faded fast. I weight 185 lbs, but it should have been able to get me up the modest hill at least at 5 mph when compared to four other scooter brands that we have owned over the years (2 Razors, 2 Currie e-Zips and 2 Super Turbo 1000). My son's first day riding after just 10 mins of riding the kick stand spring came loose. I had to reattach the spring and tighten the kick stand nut/bolt assembly. Seems like a flimsy design. After about another 15 mins of riding the front wheel started to wobble.

Sure enough left side front wheel bearing blew out (fell apart) and the front wheel was riding partly on the axel. Good thing my son was not going full speed when the bearing blew out because he might have crashed and injured himself. I have never witnessed a bearing blow out on a NEW item before - WOW! My son was very disappointed and sad. I was willing to give this scooter another chance so I ordered a replacement right away.
